If you have any input, it's appreciated...I'm looking at the Boomer T21-D and T25-D tractors with 60" belly mower, loader, and rotary cutter (brush hog). I'll be using the tractor to finish mow 3 very hilly acres and cut down another 3 acres of field. The loader is for removing snow from the driveway, spreading gravel, etc. Our property is soft sand so I'll probably get the turf tires.Is the Boomer a good machine? I like the std. 4WD and hydro on the -D model and have access to the machines at a good price (Ford employee discount). Are they worth pursuing or should I just be safe and buy a Deere?Thanks again for any help!

I might recommend you give consideration to a three point hitch finish mower for the added versatility. You may begin to dislike the belly mower the first time you run out of ground clearance doing something other than mowing. ....

Greg,Forget the Deere! You've got an employee discount! These new TC series Boomers apparently don't suffer from the problems the older Boomers did.I just bought a TC25D with supersteer, front-end loader, PHD and brush hog. I'm very impressed with the quality and power of this tractor. Have used the loader to clean horse stalls, transport mulch and gravel, and even to move snow. Don't know how well you can "spread" gravel with it...you might consider a 3-point rear blade for this.I agree w/ JLW about the belly mower (see previous post), especially since you said your land is very hilly...you might "bottom out". I bought the Bush Hog 48" rotary cutter to cut about 3 acres of pasture. Have about 3/4 to 1 acre front yard that I may try to cut w/ it...after all it'll cut down to about 1.5".Otherwise I have an old lawn tractor...Hope that helps you... ....

I have a NH 1925 that I bought new in October 1997. I haven't had one problem with it so I don't understand why everyone keeps ragging on it. I now have 300 hours on it and I've used it hard to grade land, push over 12-18" diameter pines, cut brush, drag trees, move stone and firewood, rototill gardens, and plow snow. I think it's the greatest tractor ever. I got mine (without front loader) at the Ford discount price of $12,800. ....
